as a Watch keeping Officer with an MCA/AMSA Certificate
of Competency. On successful completion of the courses
you will be awarded HND / Advanced Diploma in Nautical
Science and you'll receive the diploma itself on
completion of a further 12 months' service at sea.
Less than three - four years you'll find yourself
in sole charge of a ship in our ocean- going fleet
for eight hours a day. But that doesn't mean the
learning stops. On the contrary, as a serving officer
you'll continue expanding your knowledge, experience
and competence and eventually qualify for higher
level MCA/AMSA class 2 &1 Certificates. !
